I make things that move people. Sometimes that's a poem that stops you cold. Sometimes it's a word art print you didn't know you needed. Sometimes it's a character so irresistibly joyful you just have to share her.

I'm a mom first — to my daughter, who is woven into so much of what I create, and Ama to three grandkids who are everything. I'm also a poet, a painter, a storyteller, and the creator of Shimmer the Glowworm. I wrote Purpose for my daughter. I painted a grumpy duck after 45 years away from a brush. I built a character universe with 150M+ views from my living room.

The golden dog in this image is Roxy. She was my heart — my constant, my comfort, my muse. I wrote Dog Sonnet for her. She passed in 2024 and lives in everything I make. Paisley and Poe were her cats. They run the workshop now.

My life has had chapters I'm still finding words for. Some of them live quietly inside the poems. One day I'll tell the whole story.
